Top 25 Rap Songs of the 2000’s

 2. Stan- Eminem feat. Dido

‘Stan’ was Eminem’s third single off of the Marshall Mathers LP. It was Eminem’s masterpiece and the world took full notice of it. The song tells the story about a crazed Eminem fan named Stan that takes his fandom way to far and eventually leads to his demise. It created a term that many use today for crazy fans: “Stans”. The Dido ‘Thank You’ samples is beautifully implemented into the song a takes it a step further. The music video fits perfectly with the song and helps visual create the already visual song.

Dope Lyrics: “I loved you Slim, we could’ve been together, think about it You ruined it now, I hope you can’t sleep and you dream about it And when you dream, I hope you can’t sleep and you scream about it I hope your conscience eats at you and you can’t breathe without me.”

I like the list. I don’t agree though with “Soul Survivor” being on it. I found it interesting that you included “Hey Ya” as a rap song.
