Top 25 Rap Songs of the 2000’s

15. Drop it Like It’s Hot– Snoop Dogg feat. Pharrell

If you add a Neptune produced track, the song is almost guaranteed to be a hit. That’s what happened with Drop it Like It’s Hot off of Snoop Dogg’s R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece. Once the beat dropped, you couldn’t help but hit a c-walk to it. Uncle Snoop brought his patented smooth yet boss flow and feel to the song. The song was named the most popular song of the decade by Billboard and it was Pharrells biggest song he was apart of until ‘Blurred Lines’ and ‘Get Lucky’ (think about that).

Dope Lyrics: “I cut so much you thought I was a DJ, Two, one yep three, S-N double O-P, D-O double G

I like the list. I don’t agree though with “Soul Survivor” being on it. I found it interesting that you included “Hey Ya” as a rap song.

No Kanye West? Really? He deserves to be in the top 25 a couple of times and not just Honorable Mention.
